The Diary of a Sugarbaby is a #1 Bestseller in LGBTQ+ Fiction
Not a week after its release on November 3rd, 2023, J.Q. Gagliastro’s debut novel The Diary of a Sugarbaby became an instant #1 bestseller in LGBTQ+ Coming of Age Fiction on Amazon’s Bestsellers List. It stayed at the top for 10 consecutive days!
What this means is Gagliastro had an audience way before they became a published author. Before publication, they had only 500 followers on BookTok and around 3,000 followers on Instagram. That’s not much. Gagliastro may be an independent author with a small platform, but it is clear that their readers are some of the most supportive people out there. To make a queer indie author a bestseller takes a damn village!
The Monday after Gagliastro’s book signings in Annapolis and NYC, The Diary of a Sugarbaby returned to the Top 100 on Amazon’s Bestsellers List. Gagliastro is humbled to have their book in the fabulous company of Augustina Bazterrica’s Tender is the Flesh and Jacqueline Harpman’s I Who Have Never Known Men. Both were huge and genuine inspirations for TDS.
The best way to support Gagliastro is to BUY A SIGNED COPY PACKAGE (specifically the Sex Positive, Emo, and Nerd packages). Gagliastro earns the most from those, then Amazon, then their Basic Bitch package. Then, bookstores. That’s how it goes.
I want to give a major thank you to everyone who helped make The Diary of a Sugarbaby a certified bestseller! I fucking love you guys!
xoxo, jq
